Objectives

One of the principal sources of the most dangerous infection-causing pathogens in hospitals is environmental surfaces. If effective cleaning protocols and products are not applied, pathogens such as methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), Clostridium difficile, vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE), ESBL, Norovirus, and Acinetobacter, can remain viable on environmental surfaces for prolonged periods. This webinar will discuss the use of Microfiber as a Tool for Environmental Cleaning in Healthcare.

It is estimated that preventable healthcare-related infections affect 721,800 Americans annually and cost the lives of as many as 75,000 patients. This can be equated to 767- plane full of passengers crashing every day. Clinical studies show that 50-60% of healthcare-related infections can be prevented by employing evidence-based products and best practices. This presentation will discuss the most significant pathogens transmitted on environmental surfaces and highlight the Products and practices for cleaning the healthcare environment, particularly the microfiber mops and cloths.
